Friday Sept. 24

Welcome to Germany! On arrival at Munich Airport, you can utilize public transportation or hire a private car to get you to your hotel. Settle in and relax, or start exploring the wonders of this incredible city. This evening, meet your fellow travelers in a traditional beer garden, one of the largest of its kind in the world where the liquid gold still flows from wooden kegs.

Saturday Sept. 25

You have unlimited access to Oktoberfest during your stay. Be sure to check out the amazing carnival rides, vaudeville shows, and dozens of food and souvenir stands. This is Italian weekend, so singles should be prepared for excessive flirting!

Sunday Sept. 26

Enjoy a free concert performed by all Oktoberfest tent bands at the foot of the Bavaria statue. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure, tent-hopping, or take an optional excursion to one of the many destinations easily accessible from Munich. Perhaps a 1/2 day trip to Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial, or discover more of Munich through a guided bicycle tour?

Monday Sept. 27

Feel like getting away from the hustle and bustle of the city and the Oktoberfest madness? Perhaps an excursion to Berchtesgaden and Eagle’s Nest  is just what you need. Built while the world was enduring a different kind of madness, Hitler’s retreat and the Nazi’s mountaintop lodge will astound you with some of Germany’s most awe-inspiring views of the Alps. Back in Munich, Gay Oktoberfest fans may want to check out Rosa Wiesn in the Fischer-Vroni tent. You could also meet us at the beer garden to welcome the next group of Spyglass Travelers.

Tuesday Sept. 28

Tuesday is family day at Oktoberfest, where you’ll find reduced prices on food and rides. With unlimited access to Oktoberfest for the duration of your stay, why not check out as many beer tents as possible? Each one is unique in its ambience as well as its menu and patronage. You’ll enjoy an included Bavarian meal in one of the many Oktoberfest Tents either today or tomorrow, depending on availability.

Wednesday Sept. 29

Spend today at your leisure or take an optional excursion by train to the fairy tale castle of Neuschwanstein. Perhaps you’d like to travel by coach along the Romantic Road to medieval Rothenburg and Harburg? Of course there is still plenty to see and do at Oktoberfest or in Munich itself. This afternoon you can join us for a private tour of the BMW Welt & Factory or explore the Bavarian capital the best possible way, by bicycle.
