Friday Sept. 30
Arrive in Munich and settle in to your contemporary hotel. This afternoon you will meet your fellow travelers in a famous Munich Beer Garden. Tonight, brave the crowds and get familiar with the Oktoberfest craziness.

Saturday Oct. 1
Today, as a bonus to the extended weekend, you'll travel by train through the scenic countryside into the beautiful Bavarian Alps to visit Schloss Neuschwanstein, the inspiration for Cinderella's castle. Be sure to bring a camera to capture the breathtaking views and your wind-blown hairdo after you twist and turn down the mountain on the rodelbahn (luge). Or take a gondola ride to the top of Tegelberg Peak for more amazing photo ops. (Neuschwanstein trip only included on Closing Weekend and 14-Day Tours)

Sunday Oct. 2
Prost!! Today is not the last day of the Oktoberfest. Tomorrow is the Day of Germany Unity, which commemorates the anniversary of German reunification. When it falls on Monday, the officials extend Oktoberfest one more day. For you this means plenty more time to eat, drink, and be merry.  

Monday Oct. 3
Today is yours to do as you please: explore Munich, ride rides, drink beer, eat too much, and have an all out blast at Oktoberfest! Maybe an optional excursion is just what you need to get the party started?

Tuesday Oct. 4
This evening aboard the night train to Amsterdam, you’ll have access to the First-Class lounge and enjoy breakfast served in your private sleeper cabin.

Wednesday Oct. 5
Upon arrival in eccentric, free-spirited Amsterdam, check-in to your conveniently located historic hotel, and then get familiar with Amsterdam on a walking tour & canal cruise. The remains of the day are at your discretion. (See excursion options here.)

Thursday Oct. 6
Today you are free to explore the “Venice of the North”. Visit the Van Gogh Museum, the Rijksmuseum, and Anne Frank’s House. The Heineken Experience is a fun way to relax for a bit. Stroll along the canals and check out the notorious Red Light District.

Friday Oct. 7
Perhaps a bicycle tour of the iconic windmills just beyond the city would be a great way to spend your last full day in freewheeling Amsterdam? Or maybe you’d like to hang out with some new friends in a coffee shop? 

Saturday Oct. 8
Spend the morning and afternoon at your leisure. Say "tot ziens" to Amsterdam this evening, relaxing in your first-class sleeper cabin on your way to the Bohemian capital Prague.

Sunday Oct. 9
Upon arrival in Prague, check-in to your Historic 5 Star hotel, which is centrally located in the heart of Old Town. Get to know the Golden City on a walking tour & river cruise. The rest of the day is yours for sightseeing.(See excursion options here.)

Monday Oct. 10
With a smorgasbord of stunning architecture, Prague is a feast for the eyes. Check out Old Town Square and its Astronomical Clock, ominous Týn Church, and the Jan Hus Memorial. Be sure to take in all the unforgettable sites of the Jewish Quarter.

Tuesday Oct. 11
Another full day for sightseeing at your leisure. Grab your camera and cross Charles Bridge to wander around the Little Quarter. Take the funicular up to Petřίn Hill and climb to the top of the pint-size Eiffel Tower for some amazing views. Prague castle, possibly the largest castle on Earth, awaits in the distance.

Wednesday Oct. 12
After breakfast say "Ahoj" to Prague and take the train back to Munich where you'll enjoy a farewell dinner with your new friends in one of Bavaria's most famous, or infamous, restaurants. 

Thursday Oct. 13
Catch your plane, train, or automobile and head toward home, or on to another fascinating destination.
